JEE Main 2019 (April): Correction of Application Form Set to Begin Today

The second edition of JEE Main 2019 is set to begin from 6th of April. Now, that the registrations are over, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has opened the window for applicants to correct JEE Main application form.

The application correction window will be open from 11th of March to 15th of March 2019. Corrections can be made on the official JEE Main Website (jeemain.nic.in).

Some More Details

The facility to make a correction in the online application form is available only for candidates applying for the first time.

The facility to make the corrections is not available through the offline mode i.e. through fax or emails.

Candidates will have to pay a specified amount through Credit/Debit card/Net Banking and UPI to make the corrections.

What Changes Can Be Made?

A host of changes can be made to the application form, from personal details, paper selection, educational details, medium of the examination to name and the date of birth.

A candidate will not be allowed to make changes to the following:

  • Exam Centre
  • Photograph
  • Signature

Note: If the photograph is accepted in the application form, then no changes can be made. Changes can be made only if candidates have uploaded photographs (including signature image) which do not meet the prescribed specifications.

How To Make The Corrections

  • Visit the official JEE Main Website (jeemain.nic.in).
  • Click on the option “Login for correction in Application form”.
  • Enter the following details to log in: Application number, password and security pin.
  • Once logged in the changes can be made by selecting the sections that need
  • Once the changes are made, candidates will have to click on the ‘submit’ button to complete the process.

Correction Fees

To make changes, candidates might have to pay an additional fee. The fee will be specified (if applicable) at the time of making the corrections. If applicable, the payment should be made through Credit/Debit card/Net Banking and UPI.

For EWS Category Students

Now candidates from Economically Backward Students (EWS) can edit and mention their category in the online application form.

Important Notification for EWS Category Students

It is not compulsory for the candidates to upload the EWS certificate in the JEE Main portal. Though it will be compulsory for candidates to upload the certificate while applying for JEE Advanced 2019.
