JEE Main 2019 Result Declared: Check Scores Here

D Day is finally here! With much being made of the changes to the coveted examination, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has finally announced the result of JEE Main 2019.

Over 9 lakh candidates appeared for the JEE Main 2019 in April. Students who have attempted Paper 1 of the examination in January or April or both can now check their scores on the official JEE Main Website.

JEE Main Result Highlights:

• 24 students have scored a 100 percentile
• 297,932 out of 609,440 students who have attempted the exam in January have improved their scores in April.

The result of paper 2 of the examination will be announced on the 15^th of May 2019.

To Check JEE Main 2019 Scores

Candidates can check and download their scores by following the steps below:

1. Log on to the JEE Main official website – https://jeemain.nic.in
2. Click on JEE (Main) April 2019 NTA Score.
3. Enter candidate’s application number, date of birth and security pin. Be careful when entering the security pin as it is case sensitive.
4. Upon clicking on submit, the screen would display – each section’s scores along with the overall NTA score for JEE Main 2019.
5. Download the result and save a copy for future reference.

The result of JEE Main 2019 has been declared online and no request to avail score offline will be entertained.

Calculating JEE Main 2019 Score

Here is how JEE Main score has been calculated:

• The scores given are based on a scale of 100 to 0 for every session (January & April) of the exam. The topper of each session has been given a percentile score of 100 and based on it and the relative performance of candidates, the percentile scores have been alloted.
• The highest score in each session of the exam has been normalized with a percentile score of 100.
• In case of a tie, the scores have been settled in the following chronological order:
  • Candidates with the highest percentile score in mathematics.
  • Followed by candidates with the highest percentile score in Physics.
  • Followed by candidates with the highest percentile score in Chemistry.
  • If the scores are still tied, then finally the age of the candidates has been considered while allotting a rank. In this case, older candidates have been given preference.
  • In case the tie persists then the candidates have been given the same rank.
• The scores of each session have been merged (January & April) to compile the overall score.
• The better percentile score out of the two attempts will be considered as the final result.
