What to do now?

Well, you have done everything you could have. In the last two days, take a mock test each day and go through the notes you have prepared. Nothing more! Don’t open any books and if you want to read something, read a newspaper or a magazine. Go for an evening walk and keep yourself relaxed.

The competition is tough, can I make it?

The competition is stiff not just for you but for everyone attempting the exam. Don’t think about what if it doesn’t go according to the plan. Be positive, believe in your preparations and keep your best foot forward. Don’t worry, you’ve got this.

What if the paper is tough?

The JEE Main exam is expected to be tough and test your speed and accuracy. If the exam paper is tougher than the previous year than it holds true for everyone attempting the exam. If you have prepared well then you should be happy that the paper is tough as this will eliminate the competition.

The paper pattern has changed! What now?

Yes, the NTA has changed the pattern for JEE Main 2020. You can find the changes to the exam in our exclusive video on JEE Main 2020:

The JEE Main paper pattern has been changing quite frequently in recent years. No matter what the changes are, the core of the examination has remained the same. You shouldn’t worry about these changes if you have covered the syllabus well and have in-depth understanding of the concepts.

There are a few concepts that I don’t know, what to do now?

The JEE Syllabus is humongous and you also need to balance your board exams. It is possible that you haven’t covered everything and now is not the time to study them. What’s done is done, and you should focus on your strengths now. Don’t divulge from it.

My friends know more than me and this is making me nervous

There is no possible way for you to know this and neither should you focus on what others are doing. Stick to your guns. You can’t control what others are doing but your fate is in your hands. Some just give misinformation to divert you and you shouldn’t fall for the trap.

I am getting so nervous that I am not being able to do anything

This is very natural. Well, last week we came up with a video where we talked about tips and tricks to calm you nervous and deal with JEE stress like a boss. If you are stressed out about the exam, you need to watch this:

What else do I have to keep in mind?

  • Be in bed by 10 or 10:30 p.m. Make this a habit at least in the 2-days you have left for the exam.
  • Have a light dinner.
  • If you are not able to fall asleep immediately. Don’t worry, it’s OK!
  • Plan the amount of time it will take to reach there. Give some time for car/bus breakdown etc. You also need time to get ready. Wake up accordingly.
  • Have a light breakfast. Don’t go empty stomach.
  • Remember to carry all the essentials like Admit Card, ID cards, etc.
  • Don’t discuss any subject related things with friends.
  • Don’t carry anything that can ban you from entering the examination hall like books or notebooks etc. Go through the Admit Card on things that you can carry and can’t.
  • Stay away from students who are doing last-minute revision in the exam center.
  • Read the instructions carefully before you begin solving the paper.
  • Just go and do the best you can. Best of luck!
