The National Testing Agency (NTA) will be conducting JEE Main from this year and will soon begin accepting applications for the Joint Entrance Examination, Main to be conducted in January of 2019.
The JEE Main 2019 registrations are set to begin in the month of September 2018 (tentatively) for the January attempt. The hall ticket (Admit card) for the same will be available in the month of December 2019. The registrations for the second attempt in April 2019 is expected to begin in the month of February of 2019.
The best score of both the attempts will be considered in counselling for admission purposes.

Downloading the JEE Main 2019 Hall ticket
The hall ticket will be available for download in the online mode only. Here is how one can download the JEE Main 2019 hall ticket:
- A dedicated link will be provided on the official website for aspirants to download the hall ticket.
- While applying for the JEE Main 2019, an application number will be provided to the candidates. The application number along with the password and the security pin needs to be entered to view and download the hall ticket.
- In case of any mistakes or discrepancy in the hall ticket, a candidate will have to raise the issue with the authorities at the earliest and get it rectified.
- Download the hall ticket if the information displayed in the hall ticket is correct.
Information to check in the hall ticket
A candidate needs to check the following details in the hall ticket for accuracy:
- Name of the candidate
- Application number
- Roll number
- Date of Birth
- Gender
- Parent’s name
- State
- Name of the course
- Category (General/ST/SC)
- PWD Status
- Exam Centre and test centre code
- Photograph of the candidate
- Signature of the candidate and the parents
- Date and time of the examination
If any of these details are found to be incorrect, then the candidates need to contact NTA and get it rectified.
In case of forgetting password or application number
If a candidate forgets his password or the application number to download the hall ticket, here is what he should do:
- In the official JEE Main admit card page, there will be an option ‘I can’t access my account’.
- After clicking on the link, one must choose from these given options: Forgot password or forgot application number.
- After choosing an option the candidate will be able to retrieve the information either by:
- Answering the security question set by the candidate while registering.
- Verifying self by using the automated SMS code sent on the candidate’s registered mobile number.
- By using the reset link sent on the email ID of the candidate.
- Candidate will also require their name, parent’s name, state, date of birth and security pin to retrieve the application number.
Some important do’s and don’ts mentioned in the admit card
- No pen/pencil will be allowed. Yes, the exam will be computer based.
- No phones, pagers, watches, calculators, notebooks, rough-work paper, books will be allowed in the examination hall. There is will a wall clock for candidates to check the time. Since the exam is computer-based, a candidate will be able to check time in the system as well.
- Latecomers will not be welcomed nor if a candidate visits the wrong centre.
- Last moment changes to the exam centre will not be entertained.
- A candidate will not be allowed to enter the exam centre without the hall ticket (admit card), ID (Govt. approved) card and PWD certificate (for PWD Category candidates).
- A candidate will not be allowed to leave the examination hall before the stipulated time of the exam.
