Keep your JEE Study Material Lean!

‘Which are the best books for JEE preparation?’ This is the most common concern a student has before he starts his preparation for JEE Main. And most certainly, you will find a hundred different answers from a hundred different sources online. Result? You have too many options and you can’t differentiate which are the best for you. We want you to stay away from the multitude of JEE preparation books, so that you don’t end up getting confused.

A lot of students in course of their preparation tend to run behind books that look fancy, that have tough and very rare problems. Then again, do those books really help you?

Having a huge stack of books for the JEE, might make you feel secured, but how much of it do you read? You might feel, you have left the others behind in terms of preparation, with such exhaustive resources, but the truth is you are kidding yourself.

The more books you have for preparing, a lot of your time goes in reading and re-reading the same thing repeatedly. This is such a criminal waste of time, especially when you must make the time invested in studying productive and effective. It furthermore confuses you, when your concepts are unclear. You would be left with nothing but a random set of ideas, making you lose interest in studying.

Why subject yourself to such anguish?

Keep your JEE study material limited. Do not compromise on NCERT books, they are extremely necessary to make your fundamentals in any topic strong. Books titled “Crack JEE in 150 days” or “ABC Guides for JEE” are just named that way to grab your attention, they will not fulfil your purpose, so avoid them right away.

A little into your JEE preparation, when you feel quite in control, refer to books that help you widen your knowledge like sample papers, mock tests or All India Test series to help you delve deep into your strengths and weaknesses. You should also keep in mind, that certain questions may have wrong answers or solutions with errors.
