About NTSE
NTSE is one of the most reputable exams and around half crore students appear for it every year. It is a tough exam to crack and make a mark. The competition is a stiff one and only top 1000 students are awarded the grant every year.
The structure of the exam
There are 2 stages of the exam: NTSE Stage 1 (State level) and NTSE Stage 2 (National Level). To ace the exam you have to clear both the stages of the exam and avail the scholarship. The stages are conducted in 2 levels:
- Scholarship Aptitude Test (SAT): SAT level is designed to test the logical thinking of the aspirants in the subjects of Mathematics, Science, and Social sciences. SAT also includes a Language test for which a candidate needs the passing marks.
- Mental Aptitude Test (MAT): In this level, the questions are asked from series, analogies, pattern perception, classification, coding-decoding, problem-solving, hidden figures, block assembly, etc.
There is no language test in NTSE stage 2.
