9 Winning Strategies to Earn A Seat in an IIT

The road to earn a seat in the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT-All Campuses) begins this coming January. The road is well defined, but the journey isn’t a cakewalk by any means.

Milestones

The entrance examinations that an aspirant needs to cover to complete the journey to the IIT are the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main and Advanced.

The JEE Main is the preliminary exam that aspirants take, and the examination is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). This exam is conducted in the month of January and April. The aspirants have the option to attempt JEE Main in January or April or both.

Once the hurdle of JEE Main is crossed, the final step is to crack JEE Advanced, which is conducted by a designated IIT.

Preparation

The preparation strategy for IIT-JEE revolves around what and how to study for the JEE twins. There is immense pressure on aspirants to crack the most revered exams in the country. Though these exams are considered to be the toughest but with proper preparation strategies, there is nothing that can’t be achieved.

The JEE exams are all about understanding the concepts and putting them to practice and solving numerical problems. One will get better with the numerical problems only if they have done enough practice and hence the need for mock tests. The more the merrier.

It is advisable to take breaks after a 2-3-hour study period. This practice will help keep things fresh and improve concentration levels.
