Yes, it is that time of the year when aspirants look to register themselves for the engineering entrance examinations and earn themselves a seat in the prestigious engineering colleges of India.

Most of the engineering entrance tests are conducted around a similar time of the year. It is important for the aspirants to mark their calendars regarding important dates of these exams so that the opportunity is not lost.

Regarding these exams, aspirants should be on the lookout for:

  • Registration dates and last date to register
  • Correction in the application form (Last date)
  • Dates to download the admit card
  • Date, Time, centers and shifts
  • Counseling dates

Here are some important engineering entrance exams of 2019:

JEE Main 2019

The Joint Entrance examination is the most sought-after engineering entrance exam in the country. Lakhs of students look to appear for JEE Main and take admission in top public funded engineering colleges (NITs, IIITs, CFTIs). JEE Main is also the first step to earn a seat in the best engineering college of India: The Indian Institute of Technology (All Campuses).

The next year’s JEE Main will be conducted online and twice by the newly formed NTA (National Testing Agency). Here are the dates of the exam:

  • JEE Main 2019 (January): 6th to 20th January 2019.
  • JEE Main 2019 (April): 6th to 20th April 2019.

Aspirants need to look out especially for JEE Main important dates as a lot of changes have been made to the examination.

JEE Advanced 2019

In a recent notification, it was announced that JEE Advanced will be conducted on 19th of May 2019 by IIT Roorkee. Around 10,000 students who qualify JEE Main becomes eligible to attempt JEE Advanced. This is the final step that an aspirant has to take to earn a seat in an IIT.

BITSAT 2019

BITSAT is one of the most sought-after engineering entrance examinations after JEE. This entrance examination is conducted for all the 3 branches of Birla Institute of Technologies in:

  • Pilani
  • Hyderabad
  • Goa

BITSAT 2019 dates have not been announced yet, but the examination is usually conducted in 3rd to 4th week of May.

VITEEE 2019

The Vellore Institute of Technology will be conducting the VITEEE 2019 in 2nd or 3rd week of April 2019. The application for VITEEE 2019 will be released on 1st of November 2018.

The VITEEE is a gateway for aspirants to take admissions in all the campuses of the Vellore Institute of technologies. Here is a list of all campuses:

COMEDK and KCET 2019

The state of Karnataka has two engineering entrance examination namely COMEDK and KCET. COMEDK is an entrance exam for private engineering colleges in Karnataka, whereas KCET is for public funded engineering colleges in Karnataka.

Exam Dates:

  • COMEDK: 3rd week of May 2019 (Tentative)
  • KCET: 3rd to 4th week of April 2019 (Tentative)

KEAM 2019

KEAM is a state entrance exam conducted by CEE (Commissioner of Entrance Exams) for admissions in top engineering colleges (Public) in Kerala. The tentative exam date of KEAM 2019 would be around the 3rd week of April 2019.

MHT-CET 2019

Just like other state entrance examinations, MHT-CET is an engineering entrance examination conducted for engineering colleges in Maharashtra by DTE (Department of Technical Education).

MHT-CET gives the aspirants an opportunity to take admission in colleges like Maharashtra Institute of Technology, MIT College of Engineering, Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University College of Engineering, Sardar Patel Institute of Technology.

MHT-CET 2019 will be conducted around the 2nd week of May 2019 (Tentative).

WBJEE 2019

More than one lakh aspirants attempt the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) every year. The application for WBJEE is usually released in the month of November. Tentatively, WBJEE is usually conducted in the 3rd week of April.
