Upcoming Engineering Entrance Exams: Check dates and latest updates for JEE Main, JEE Advanced, BITSAT, VITEEE, SRMJEE and Other state exams

With the second wave of COVID-19 hitting us all severely, one of the most significant impacts has fallen on the upcoming Engineering exams.

On the national level, the remaining two sessions of JEE Main 2021 have already been postponed, and the JEE Advanced is also expected to be postponed sooner or later. However, some of the state-level engineering entrance exams and some private engineering colleges entrance exams, including the Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) and the SRM Institute of Science and Technology will be held as per schedule.

Here are the latest update and schedules of these state CET’s and private engineering college entrance exams – VITEEE, BITSAT, and SRMJEE. exams:

JEE Main

NTA has already announced the postponement for the JEE Main April and May sessions. The dates for these sessions haven’t been announced yet. Initially, they were supposed to be conducted from 27th to 30th April and 24th to 28th May. As and when the new dates will be announced, we are going to provide that update.

JEE Advanced

JEE Advanced 2021 was scheduled to be conducted on 3rd July 2021. However, it seems unlikely that it will be held on the same date. No official announcement has been made on any postponement, but the exam authorities will likely announce the new date sooner rather than later.

In another update, those who successfully registered for JEE Advanced 2020 but couldn’t appear due to the pandemic situation, will be allowed to reappear for the exam directly. Such candidates don’t need to appear for JEE Main ’21 to qualify for Advanced.

BITSAT

As per the official information, BITSAT 2021 exam is postponed by BITS, Pilani due to the ongoing covid pandemic situation. The exam was scheduled to be held from 24th June to 30th June 2021 but now it will be conducted in July or August tentatively. The last date for the application is also extended to 30th June, till 5 pm. The exact schedule will be announced through the website sometime during next month i.e. June. VITEEE

VITEEE, conducted by the Vellore Institute of Technology, will be held on 28th, 29th, and 30th May 2021. It will be held in a remote proctored manner wherein students will take the exam from their home but will be supervised using a web camera.

Initially, the exam was supposed to be held from 18th to 26th June. Due to the surge in the cases, the university has decided to conduct the exam in this innovative mode.

SRMJEE

SRMJEE is conducted by SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST) every year for admission to B. Tech programmes. It is going to be conducted in two phases – 23rd and 24th May and 25th and 26th June. The last dates of registrations for both phases are 15th May and 20th July.

Also, the top 1000 rank holders of JEE Main will be given direct admission to the SRM University.

WBJEE

The WBJEE is expected to be held on 11th July 2021, and the admit card for the same will be tentatively released on 7th July. The registration window for the exam is now closed.

TS EAMCET

The state-level TS EAMCET will be held from 5th to 9th July 2021. The dates for the Engineering stream are 7th, 8th, and 9th July 2021. The exam will be conducted in two shifts: 9 AM-12 AM & 3 PM-6PM.

KCET

The registrations for KCET have not started yet, and the exams are scheduled to be held for 7th and 8th July 2021.
