JEE Main Answer Key for Paper 1 Released!

JEE Main Answer Key for Paper 1 has been released by the Central Board of Secondary Education on the official website.

The candidates can now download the JEE Main Answer Key by following the below steps:

• Login to the official website of JEE Main
• Click on the download option for JEE Main 2018 Answer Key
• Candidates need to choose Paper 1 for now for which the answer key has been released. Paper 2 as an option shall be enabled, once the answer key is released for the same
• A printout of the answer key can be taken, if needed

Candidates who are not satisfied with any response on the answer key may raise an objection by applying online with a fee of INR 1000. The objections raised shall be accepted online through the official website up to 27^th April 2018 till 11.59 p.m.

If the objection is accepted by the CBSE/JAB, the application fee would be refunded to the candidate. The refund shall be made online to the credit/debit account of the concerned students/parents, hence they would be required to make the application fee payment through their credit/debit card.

Candidates can use the JEE Main answer key and verify the responses to know the correct and incorrect answers that they have written in the examination. The JEE Main score can be calculated by the candidates in the following manner:

Total Marks Obtained: Marks for Correct Answer (A) – Marks for Wrong Answer (B)

A = Number of correct answers * 4

B = Number of wrong answers *-1

The JEE Main Marking Scheme is as follows:

1. 4 marks would be awarded for the right answer
2. 1 mark shall be deducted for an incorrect response
3. In case of question not answered, no marks would be awarded
4. In case more than 1 answer is given for a question, 1 mark would be deducted

About the examination

The JEE Main examination was held earlier on April 8 (offline mode) and April 15 &16 (online mode) by CBSE for those candidates seeking admission to the following courses – B.Tech, B.E, B.Arch and B.Planning. The JEE Main Result would be declared tentatively by 30 April 2018.
