Heads up KVPY 2018 aspirants! The online application form for KVPY 2018 has been released by IISc (Indian Institute of Science) on the 11th of July 2018. The application form for KVPY SA, SX, and SB streams are now available online to be filled up by the aspirant.
A brief about the exam
The KVPY fellowship programme was started in 1999 by the Department of Science and Technology by Government of India and is conducted by Indian Institute of Science. The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) is a scholarship programme to motivate and inspire bright students to pursue basic science courses and a career in research in the field of science.

Application process
For aspirants to successfully apply for the exam needs to follow the below:
- Aspirants need to log in to the registration section to fill out the form.
- The personal details: Name, Date of Birth, Mobile number, Email ID, and class presently enrolled in needs to be provided.
- Payment of fees.
It is important to furbish the right and valid information in the online application form, as once submitted, it will not be allowed to change. The information provided, if found wrong or incorrect, the candidature of the aspirant will be canceled and the application fees will not be refunded.

Documents required:
- Scanned copy of the passport photo. The photograph should be a colored one and not more than 150 kb in size.
- Scanned copy of the signature. The scanned signature should be in black and white only and not more than 80 kb in size.
- For PWD candidates- Medical certificate
- If applicable- Caste certificate
Streams and eligibility criteria
The KVPY has 3 streams and each stream has different eligibility criteria to avail the fellowship grant. Besides being a citizen of India, the following are the criteria for each stream:

To know the status of the application
Once the fees is paid, aspirants can log in with their credentials on the KVPY website and know about the status of the application. The login credentials are important, as it will be required later to download the admit card from the same portal.
