The registration process for Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY) research fellowship has been started and registration will be closed on 25th August. Candidates who are eligible for the KVPY fellowship can register their application at the official website kvpy.iisc.ernet.in. The aptitude test for the KVPY 2021 scholarship will be conducted on 7th November.
KVPY fellowship launched in 1999 with an objective to identify students with talent and aptitude for research in science and encourage them to choose science research as a career. This program is funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. A KVPY fellow is entitled to receive the monthly stipend till pre Ph.D. level or five years, whichever is earlier.
The selection of students for this fellowship is done from students studying in 11th standard to 1st year of any undergraduate program in basic sciences B.Sc./B.S./B.Stat./B.Math. /Int. M.Sc./M.S. in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology having an aptitude for scientific research. This exam is conducted for 3 streams – SA, SX, and SB.
How to Register: KVPY 2021
Candidates have to follow the below steps to complete the application process –
- Visit the official KVPY website and register yourself.
- Fill in personal and academic details, choose the test centre, and upload photograph, signature, and other certificates, as required.
- Pay the application fees. Candidates are advised only to pay the fees at the KVPY application portal using debit card/credit card, UPI, or net banking. Once the payment is successful and the application is submitted, no refund for the fees will be done.
- The application fees for KVPY are as following –
For General/OBC category – Rs. 1250 and for SC/ST/PWD- Rs. 625 (Bank charges extra)
