NCERT announces NTSE 2021 Stage 2 Exam Date,

New exam date for National Talent Search Exam (NTSE) 2021 stage-2 has been announced by NCERT. This exam was earlier scheduled to be conducted on 13th June 2021 but got postponed because of the surge in covid-19 cases.

As per the official announcement, the NTSE stage-II exam will now be conducted on 24th October (Sunday) across various exam centers around the country. NCERT said in the notice that candidates who are recommended by their respective State/UT after cracking the NTSE stage 1 exam are eligible to appear in the NTSE stage 2 exam.

Admit card for NTSE Stage 2 exam will be available to download from October 8 at the official website ncert.nic.in.

About NTSE

NTSE is a prestigious national-level scholarship exam that helps talented students from class 10th to get scholarships. It was started in 1961 as an initiative to identify and promote academic talent. The exam is conducted in two stages – Stage 1 is conducted at the State/UT level and Stage 2 is conducted at the national level. Stage 2 consists of two papers – Mental Ability Test (MAT) and Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT). Candidates who qualify stage 1 exam can appear in the stage 2 exam. Top 2000 students who qualify NTSE stage 2 exam will be awarded the prestigious NTSE scholarship. There are many benefits of being an NTSE Scholar –

  • Most of the recognized coaching centers for competitive exam preparation like JEE, NEET, etc. are offered free admission and up to 50% off on preparation material and tuition fees.
  • NTSE scholars are awarded up to 3.5 bonus points in their JEE Main score if they are considering admission onto IIIT-Delhi.
  • Preference is given to NTSE scholars by a number of foreign universities which offer undergraduate courses.
  • A monthly scholarship of INR 1250 is given to NTSE scholars for pursuing science, social science, humanities, fine arts, Languages, commerce, or vocational studies in class 11th and 12th. The scholarship amount is increased to INR 2000 per month from undergraduate up to doctorate level.
