JEE Main 2019 Online Applications To Begin Soon!

Saturday, 7th July 2018 – for all IIT JEE aspirants this was the day when all hell broke loose. The Human Resource Development (HRD) Ministry confirmed that the National Testing Agency (NTA) will indeed be conducting the JEE Main twice a year and it will be completely online.

The HRD Ministry also announced the tentative dates for the release of the application form for JEE Main 2019, both January and April attempts. For the JEE Main January 2019 – the NTA will tentatively release application forms on September 1, 2018. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can fill the JEE Main application form online until September 30 (tentatively). Since NTA has officially taken over the entire JEE Main examination process; it will also be responsible for the registration process. Once the candidates register themselves, as the JEE Main 2019 will be conducted in the online mode, they will also be required to select their preferred exam dates, exam slot, and the exam center. While filling in their applications online, candidates will also need to upload scanned copies of the required documents in the specified files sizes (and/or dimensions). The JEE Main 2019 will be conducted online by NTA in two sessions – January 2019 and April 2019. The registration for the January session will commence from 1st September 2018 (tentatively) and for the April session, registrations will commence from 1st February 2019 (tentatively). Further instructions and information are yet to be released by the HRD Ministry.

Before you begin filling the JEE Main 2019 application form

Before you start filling your JEE Main application form 2019, candidates must ensure that they have all the documents that they may need. Documents such as the candidate’s photograph and signature must be scanned, uploaded and attached with your online JEE Main 2019 application.

Apart from requisite certificates, photograph and signature the candidates must also keep the following documents handy while filling the application form:

  • Aadhar Card or Aadhar Enrollment number.
  • Email ID and Mobile number.
  • Scanned images of their photograph, the signature of candidate and guardian as per given specifications.
  • 10th standard and 12th standard details.
  • In case the fee is to be paid online, also keep debit/credit card or net banking details handy.

When filling out the online application for JEE Main 2019, candidates must ensure that the computer that they are using has a stable internet connection.

How to fill the JEE Main 2019 application form

As the NTA will be conducting the JEE Main 2019 in two sessions, it will open registrations and applications in two separate phases. For January JEE Main 2019 – applications will begin from September 1, 2018 (tentatively). For April JEE Main 2019 – applications will begin from February 1, 2018 (tentatively).

Correcting details on JEE Main application form

The NTA will notify a definite time window when the candidates can correct certain details on their JEE Main 2019 online application form. Usually, the candidate is unable to make these corrections unless they have made the payment.

Resetting password for JEE Main 2019 application form

Candidates who have forgotten their JEE Main 2019 application form password will be able to reset it by answering the security question. This security question is to be selected by the candidate during the registration process.
Post this, a verification code will be sent to the registered mobile number and the reset link will be sent to the email ID. Once the verification code is submitted the candidate will be able to reset his/her password.
