JEE Main April 2020 Registration Starts, Check How To Apply

The online registrations for JEE Main April 2020 January session have started from 7th February 2020. The last date to submit the application form is 6th March 2020. JEE Main 2020 April session exams will be held between 5th to 11th April 2020. The result of JEE Main April 2020 is expected to be declared on 30th April 2020.

JEE Main April 2020 Application Process

For registrations, interested students can apply by visiting the official website of NTA. Candidates who registered for the January session don’t have to register again for the April session. They can apply with the January 2020 credentials only. Let’s learn how students can complete the application process for JEE Main April 2020.

The application process is divided into four major steps:

  • Applying for online registration
  • Filling the online application form
  • Uploading scanned photo & signature
  • Paying examination fee

Following is the detailed fresh registration process for JEE Main 2020 April:

  1. Visit the homepage of NTA and click on the ‘Application Form for JEE (Main) April 2020’  link.
  2. Click on the ‘Fresh Registration Only’ link.
  3. On the next page, click on the ‘New Registration’ link.
  4. Read all the instructions and click on the ‘Click here to Proceed’ button.
  5. Enter all the details and complete your registration.
  6. Note down the generated Application Number and create your Password.
  7. Repeat steps 1 & 2, then sign in with your credentials under ‘Only Registered Candidates Sign In’.
  8. Complete the application form and click on ‘Submit’.
  9. Upload scanned image & photograph in the required size.
  10. Pay the application fee online via Net Banking/Debit Card/Credit Card/UPI/Paytm Services.

JEE Main 2020 Eligibility Criteria

Students who have cleared 12th or equivalent examination in 2018, 2019 or those appearing in 2020, are eligible to appear for JEE Main 2020. There is no age limit to appear for JEE Main 2020.

Eligibility Criteria for NITs, IITs, and CFTIs

Students seeking admission to any of the NITs, IITs, and CFTIs need to fulfill the eligibility criteria set by NTA. The criteria are as follows:

  • Should have scored more than 75% marks in the qualifying examination (12th) or should be among top 20 percentiles in the board exams.
  • The minimum percentage required for SC/ST students is 65%.
  • Should have compulsorily studied Physics & Mathematics with Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational as one of the subjects.

JEE Main 2020 Application Correction

Students who register themselves also have the option to correct their mistakes. The applications can be corrected from 8th to 12th March 2020 for the April session.

Students need to pay an additional charge to make any correction in the application. It will be a one-time facility available to the students who wish to make any corrections.
