The wait for lakhs of aspirants is nearing its end with CBSE announcing the dates of registration and exams for JEE Mains 2017. Other important details regarding the examination, criteria, selection etc. shall be made available on 1st December 2016. Applications shall be entertained from 1st December 2016 to 2nd January 2017.

Result: 11th June 2017, 10:00 IST
So, what are the important changes?
- Aadhaar card issued by UIDAI has been made compulsory for the examination. Also, any mismatch of aspirants’ credentials from those mentioned in the Aadhaar Card shall lead to rejection.
- JEE 2017 rank will not consider the class XII score contrary to JEE 2016.
- The qualifiers of JEE 2017 should have either 75% in class XII or should fall in top 20 percentile in class XII exams conducted by the respective boards. For SC/ST the limit has been set as 65% in class XII examination.
- JEE Mains intake has been increased and 20000 more students will be qualified to appear in JEE Advanced 2017.
Also, JEE results have been made compulsory for entry into Navy.
