There is no getting over the line in JEE Main without practice. The traditional approach to practice for such engineering entrance examinations was to book and visit a mock test center on a designated date and time. This approach to practice is not only cost-intensive and time-consuming but access to the mock tests are limited.
The MHRD (Ministry of Human Resource Development) understands the plight of aspirants preparing for an exam of this stature. To overcome the current predicament, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has launched a mobile app to help aspirants prepare for the online JEE Main 2019. Now mock tests are available at an aspirant’s fingertips, free of cost!
The mobile app can be downloaded from the Android Play Store.
What Else is in the NEWS?
What do the aspirants who do not possess a computer or a smartphone do? Fret not! The NTA has now set up 3404 test practice centers (TPC) in 662 districts across the country. Aspirants one can now register and take computer-based mock tests in these TPC’s.
Around 2.7 Lakh computers are being made available across these centers to make candidates acquainted with the computer-based JEE Main.
One can register for the NTA JEE Main mock tests on the official website (www.nta.ac.in).
More About these Mock Tests
The mock tests conducted by the NTA will be held on every Saturdays and Sundays for four months and will be gradually increased, stated Mr. Prakash Javedkar (HRD Minister).
This step is initiated by the Honorable Minister, as the NTA will be conducting the JEE Main will be conducted in the online mode, twice in 2019 and henceforth.
A Mock of the Mock Test
To test the waters, a trial run was done by the NTA on 8th and 9th of September 2019 and the aspirants who participated in this mock tests were asked to provide instant feedback. The MHRD Minister also interacted with some students who gave the mock tests in various TPC’s across the country via Google Hangout.

Taking stock of the situation, the Minister stated that no student will be at a disadvantage because of lack of resources. Students will now be able to access video lectures on the Swayam Platform.
