While CBSE had already closed the application form correction process for the JEE Main 2018 Application Form on 22nd January 2018, in a recent update, they have extended the provision to correct candidate Aadhaar card details on application forms.
The link for the online correction in Aadhaar details in JEE Main 2018 Application Form was activated on 20th March, 2018.
JEE Main Application Form was rolled out on 1st December 2017 through the board’s official website for JEE, the last date for which was 1st January 2018. The application form was available to be filled through online mode only. Since incomplete forms or forms with incorrect information lead to disqualification of the candidate, filling out the form with utter caution was of paramount importance. To the relief of many, CBSE has provided the facility of JEE Main Application Form Correction in some particulars.
Correction in application form started on 9th January 2018 and was operational till 22nd January 2018. However, CBSE clearly mentioned in their information brochure that the change of mode from computer-based (online) examination to pen & paper based (offline) examination is not allowed. The correction facility could only be availed once at that time by the candidates.
The 6th Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main 2018) is scheduled to be conducted on 8th April for students who opted for pen and paper mode. Alternately, students who opted computer-based test mode have 15th & 16th April as their exam dates.
CBSE has recently issued an advisory notice regarding the reporting schedule for all students appearing for JEE Main 2018. It has advised students to visit the examination centre a day before the conduct of examination to know the exact location of the centre. This is to avoid any delay in reporting at the examination centre as per schedule. It has clearly warned students against any delay quoting “No candidate will be allowed to enter the examination hall after the time of last entry (i.e. 9:30 AM for Paper-I, 2:00 PM for Paper-II and 2:30 PM for second shift of Paper-I).
