KVPY Admit Card will be released in the second week of October 2018. The students are required to follow the below-mentioned instructions to download the admit card:
- Visit KVPY Application Portal.
- Login using the credentials i.e registered ID and password.
- The KVPY 2018 Admit Card will be displayed on the screen.
- Download the KVPY Admit card and take a printout of the same.
- Also, save a soft copy for future reference.
The following details will be mentioned on the KVPY Admit Card:
- Exam Stream
- Exam Timings and Venue
- Test Centre Code
- Guidelines to be followed on the day of the exam
In case of any discrepancies in the details, candidates will be required to inform the KVPY Authorities via email to get it rectified.
In case the candidate forgets either of the login credentials, don’t worry! There are ways to retrieve the same:
- Refer to the email/text message received while applying for KVPY.
- Follow the below-mentioned steps to retrieve user ID/password:
- Click on “Forgot Password” on the application portal.
- The user ID and password will be resent to the registered email ID and mobile number.
The KVPY Admit Card 2018 is an important document without which the candidate will not be allowed to appear for KVPY Examination. Along with the KVPY Admit Card, candidates should carry a valid photo ID – Aadhaar Card/School ID/College ID/Passport etc.

The Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana is an on-going National Program of Fellowship funded and began by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India to attract highly motivated students for pursuing basic science courses and research careers in the field of Science and Technology.
The objective of this program is to identify and acknowledge students with a flair for talent and research aptitude and ensure growth of best scientific minds for research and development purposes.
Selection of students is made from Class 11 to the initial year of any undergraduate program in Basic Sciences i.e B.Sc/BS/B.Stat/B.Math/Int M.Sc/MS in the following subjects – Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology having an aptitude for scientific research.
Special groups/ committees are being setup at Indian Institute of Science to screen applications and conduct an aptitude test in various centres of the country. Based on the aptitude test performance, students who get shortlisted are called for an interview – the final stage of KVPY Selection Procedure.
KVPY is a Computer Based Test with Multiple Choice Questions supposed to be completed in a duration of 3 hours. The exam can be taken in either English or Hindi. KVPY is conducted in two rounds – Aptitude Test and Personal Interview. While the Aptitude Test checks the knowledge of the candidate across subjects, the interview round tests his/her aptitude in the field of Science and Research.
