NTSE Uttar Pradesh 2019-20: Application Process, Schedule

Exam Regulatory Authority, Uttar Pradesh board released the NTSE Uttar Pradesh Stage 1 application form on 28th August 2019. The last date of submission of the application form is 30th  September 2019.

UP NTSE will be held on 3rd November 2019. NCERT released the official NTSE 2019-20 notification in July 2019. Students who meet the eligibility criteria can apply for UP NTSE 2019-20.

NTSE Uttar Pradesh Eligibility Criteria

Students studying in class 10th of any recognised school of Uttar Pradesh are eligible to appear for the exam. Students registered under Open Distance are also qualified to register for NTSE Uttar Pradesh.

Students must also comply with the following circumstances:

  • Should have scored minimum 55% marks (44% for reserved categories) in class 9th
  • Should be below 18 years in age (as on 1st July 2019)
  • Should not be employed
  • Should be appearing in Class 10th examination for the first time

 NTSE Uttar Pradesh Application Process

The application process of UP NTSE Stage 1 is offline. Students can download the application form from the official website of Exam Regulatory Authority, Uttar Pradesh. They can also obtain the application form from any of the examination centres of UP. The application fee for UP NTSE is Rs. 50 for general category and Rs. 30 for reserved categories.

 NTSE Uttar Pradesh Exam Pattern

Uttar Pradesh NTSE Stage 1 will be conducted in offline or pen-based mode. The question paper is split into two parts–the Mental Ability Test (MAT) and the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT).

MAT: The questions in this chapter are intended to judge the capacity to think, the authority to reason, the ability to assess, assess, visualize in space, etc.

SAT: The questions in this section are further split into Science, Mathematics, and Social Sciences.

NTSE Uttar Pradesh Result

NTSE Uttar Pradesh Result 2019-20 will be tentatively declared in February 2020. The results will be in the form of a merit list. It will contain the roll numbers and other details of the students.
