The National Testing Agency (NTA) has successfully conducted the paper 1 of JEE Main, 2019 (April). Paper 1 of JEE Main exam is conducted for admissions in B.E/B.Tech courses across top engineering colleges in the country.

The exam will be conducted in 8 slots, till 12th of April 2019 and the 1st slot has been done and dusted today.

Here is the analysis and student feedback of the Paper 1 of JEE Main 2019:

Physics

Most students found Physics paper difficult.

Chemistry

Chemistry was relatively easier, and the questions asked, were mostly from NCERT textbooks.

Mathematics

Students found mathematics to be moderately difficult but consumed a lot of time as the questions were lengthy.

Expert Analysis

Expert opines that there were no unexpected changes in the pattern of the paper. Like most students, experts too opine that Physics was ‘moderate to difficult’, Chemistry was the easiest and Maths was moderate but lengthy.

Experts who have reviewed the paper 1 of the morning slot, stated that out of 30 questions in each paper, 5 to 6 questions were from previous year papers. Students who have had practiced the previous year papers well will score higher marks.

  • 10 questions were asked from Mechanics.
  • 8 questions were asked from Electrostatic & Magnetism.
  • 4 from Current Electricity.

Chemistry

  • Organic Chemistry: 12 Questions.
  • Physical Chemistry: 10 Questions.
  • Inorganic Chemistry: 8 Questions.

Mathematics

  • 12 questions were asked from Calculus.
  • 8 questions were asked from each Co-ordinate Geometry & Algebra.

Industry experts feel that the difficulty level of the paper is no different from the exam held in January and the cut-offs are expected to remain the same. For the JEE Main 2019, April, the cut-offs are expected to remain between 78-83 marks.
