JEE Main 2020 Registrations to begin from 3rd September, 2019

National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the exam schedule of JEE Main 2020. The complete schedule can be checked on the official website of NTA. JEE Main 2020 will be held twice, in January and April.

The registration for JEE Main 2020 will begin on 3rd September 2019 and end on 10th October 2019. The admit cards shall be available for download 6th December 2019 onwards. JEE Main 2020 will be conducted from 6th to 11th January 2020. The result for the January session will be declared on 31st January 2020.

For the April session, the registration dates are scheduled from 7th February to 7th March 2020. Admit cards would be available for download 16th March 2020 onwards. JEE Main 2020 will be held again from 3rd to 9th April. The result for the April session will be declared on 30th April 2020.

Students that wish to appear for the January session of JEE Main 2020 must register themselves before the last date. Those who register for the January session won’t have to register for the April session if they wish to attempt it again.

About JEE Main 2020

JEE Main 2020 is conducted in a Computer Based Test (CBT) mode by NTA. The exam can be attempted in 3 languages: Hindi, English, and Gujarati (for exam centres in Gujarat, Daman & Diu, and Dadra & Nagar Haveli).

To be eligible for JEE Main 2020, students should have secured at least 75% marks in the 12th boards with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational subjects.

Alternatively, students should be in the top 20 percentile in the 12th boards conducted by the respective boards. For SC/ST students, the qualifying marks would be 65% in the 12th boards examination.

JEE Main score is also considered for admission to undergraduate engineering courses offered by 30 NITs, 20 IIITs and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs) such as BIT Mesra Ranchi, Thapar University, Delhi Technological University (DTU), Punjab Engineering College, NSIT, etc.
