The Birla Institute of Technology and Science Aptitude Test (BITSAT) examination is conducted all across India for admission into the 3 BITS campuses in India – BITS Pilani, BITS Hyderabad, KK Birla Goa. These colleges offer several degree programs in the field of engineering, sciences, pharmacy, humanities, technology, and management.
Each year, Lakhs of students attempt the BITSAT examination, conducted in a CBT format. The exam is on par with the IIT JEE and saw about two lacs applicants in 2019. The official website has stated that the BITSAT 2020 Notification will be released soon. Students can apply for the BITSAT 2020 examination online on the official website of BITSAT.
BITSAT: Eligibility Criteria
If a student wants to appear for BITSAT 2020, he/she should have:
- Should have passed class 12, with English proficiency
- Scored a minimum of 75% marks in Chemistry, Maths, and Physics in the 12th class examination. Should have at least 60% score in each subject – Physics, Chemistry, and Maths.
- Passed class 12 examination in 2019 or are going to appear in 2020
- Candidates already enrolled with the BITS campuses are not eligible to appear for the exam
- Every first rank holder of the state and central board exams will be given direct admission to BITS in any degree course of their preference.

Application Procedure for BITSAT 2020
- Before applying, check the eligibility criteria
- If eligible, apply online on the official BITS admission portal
- Keep your scanned photograph and signature handy (jpg format needed)
- Apply for 3 exam location preferences. There is an option to select the BITS Dubai campus as well.
- After your complete filling the whole form, remember to note down your unique application number. This will come handy in the future.
- Pay fees via credit/debit card, net banking, challan or through Paytm wallet
- Download your Hall Ticket available from the second week of April 2020.
- Keep it safe as you will not be able to appear for the exam without the hall ticket.
To ace BITSAT 2020, students need to practise BITSAT previous years’ question papers thoroughly. It will help them in understanding different concepts and questions which are asked frequently in the exam.
