National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) Chandigarh registrations have begun, and the last date of registration is 5th September 2019. NTSE Chandigarh will be held on November 03, 2019. It is conducted by State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Sector 32, UT Chandigarh, as per the directions of NCERT.
NCERT recently released the official NTSE 2019-20 notification. The exam will be held in offline mode or pen-paper based. Students who clear the Stage II of NTSE will be eligible for scholarships.

NTSE Chandigarh Application Process and Application Fee
The application form for NTSE Chandigarh can be filled in offline mode by downloading the form from the official website of SCERT Chandigarh. Students can also collect the form manually from the office of Director, State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Sector 32-C, UT Chandigarh.

- Navigate to the ‘Latest Updates’ section on the home page.
- Click on the link of ‘NTSE’ advertisement.
- On the next page, scroll down to the end.
- Click on the ‘STSE Application Form 2019’ attachment link.
- A ‘PDF’ file will get downloaded, and you can take a print out of the same.
- Fill all the details of the form after reading all the instructions.
Note: The filled application form, duly signed by the Principal of the student’s respective school, must be sent to the Director, SCERT before the last date of submission.

NTSE Chandigarh Application Fee
The application fee is decided by the respective State/UT, and students must keep the following points in mind:
- Each state or union territory has its own fee structure for NTSE Stage 1.
- Enquire with their state advertisement or circular to get details on the NTSE exam fee.
NTSE Chandigarh Eligibility Criteria
The basic eligibility criteria to apply for NTSE Chandigarh is that the students applying must be in class 10th from a recognized board. Students enrolled in Open Distance Learning (ODL) are also eligible for the scholarship.
The minimum qualifying marks in each paper will be 40% for general category and 32% for SC and PH categories.
Students must also fulfill the below-given conditions:
- Should be below 18 years in age (of that particular year)
- Should not be employed
- Should be appearing in Class 10th examination for the first time
NTSE Chandigarh Exam Pattern
The question paper is divided into two sections – Mental Ability Test (MAT) and Scholastic Aptitude Tests (SAT).
MAT: The questions in this section are designed to judge the ability to think, power of reasoning, ability to judge, evaluate, visualise in space, etc.
SAT: The questions in this section are further divided into Science, Mathematics, and Social Sciences.

NTSE Chandigarh Result
AP NTSE Results will be tentatively declared in January 2020. AP NTSE Answer Key will be released sometime before the result declaration. SCERT will release an official notification for the same.
The results will be in the form of a merit list. It will contain the roll numbers and other details of the students. A separate merit list of 20 selected students will also be declared and forwarded to NCERT for the students who qualify for NTSE Stage II.
