NTSE State Results Keep Flowing: Stage II on 12th of May 2019

The NTSE (2018-19) Stage 1 results of varied state boards are now being declared online. The second stage of the National Talent Scholarship Examination (NTSE) will begin from 12th of May 2019.

Stage 1 of NTSE (2018-19) was successfully conducted on 3rd, 4th and 18th of November 2018.

NTSE Stage 1 Results

Meghalaya, Jammu & Kashmir, Odisha, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Puducherry are some of the states which have recently announced the NTSE stage 1 results.

By April of 2019, secondary education boards of all the states and the union territories will have released the results of NTSE stage 1 examination.

About the NTSE Stage 2

The NTSE exam, introduced in 1961, is one of the most prestigious scholarship programs for students studying at the secondary school level. Every year 1000 students who qualify in Stage 2 of NTSE are awarded scholarships.

The NTSE 2018-19, stage 2 will be held on the 12th of May. The students who have qualified in stage 1 of the examination will be sent an invitation by the NCERT to appear in NTSE Stage 2. There is no separate registration process for NTSE Stage 2.

The governing body of NTSE, NCERT will be releasing the result of stage 2 of the examination by June of 2019.

NTSE Stage 2 Pattern

Just like the first stage of NTSE, stage 2 of the examination is of a similar pattern.  The question paper will consist of 100 questions each from:

  • Mental Ability Test (MAT): reasoning, logical sequencing, reading comprehension, etc.
  • Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT):

The test will be of 4 hours and the questions will be of MCQ (Multiple choice questions) type. Like most competitive examinations, there are no negative marks for the wrong attempt.

The final result of NTSE 2019 will be declared in June, post the stage 2 examination on 12th of May. To check the results:

  • Log in to the official website.
  • Enter the application number and date of birth.
  • Enter the Captcha security code.
  • Download the results for future reference.
